Swagtron Hoverboard Review – Pros & Cons of the Swagtron T1
Pros
The T1 and the T3 Swagtron hoverboards come from the famous Swagway, a company well-recognized globally for offering quality self-balancing scooters. The hoverboard industry has cleaned up its act since the previous issues with components of the boards catching fire or exploding. In particular, the Swagtron has a UL 2271 listing for its Sentry Shield battery and is one of the first hoverboards in the world to release to market as UL 2272 listed! Safety is a major advantage here. You have the peace of mind that the company provides proof that the Swagtron is safety certified, thanks to the UL listing for its battery/charger systems. The Sentry Shield technology provides an extra safety guard for the battery. Also, the board has a strong casing that is flame retardant, is anchored by durable wheels, and has non-slip foot pads to help keep users safe.
We also like the safety Learning Mode, which enables users to enjoy slower rides that let them practice their riding skills. Users can gradually work themselves up to higher speeds. Plus, the Swagtron T1 is lighter than the original Swagway, by about 4lbs. This alteration makes for an easy-to-carry board on the go.
All of these safety features improve the ride quality, as does its ability to go up hills, which hoverboard reviews reveal that not all scooters can do. It has tight turning too. And, the price is reasonable.

Cons – Swagtron Hoverboard Reviews – Swagtron T1 vs. T3
The T1 lacks some of the T3 Swagway hoverboard features. The Swagtron T3 is considered a Bluetooth hoverboard. For example, the Swagtron T3 has a Bluetooth speaker and 3 riding modes (learning, standard, and advanced), while the Swagtron T1 has only two modes (learning and standard user). Also, the T3 app, unlike the T1, enables you to use your smartphone to check your hoverboard’s battery level, control its speed, access videos, and reach out to customer service. Also, the Swagtron T1 has an 8mph maximumspeed, so you want to make sure this speed works for you.
Swagtron Hoverboard Review – Are There Special Features?
Our Swagtron review has to include mention of the safe stop technology. This new tech is hardware and software controlled. It has no more hard stopping like with the former Swagway, which used to increase risks of falls. Instead, stops are gradual and smooth.
